Easy Aperture Cards!
Posted by Jhoanna Dimayuga on
Hi Makers, Jho here again from Papel Atbp... to share with you another easy cards to make. Today, I will show some cards that I made; this is what you called Aperture Cards. Technically, it looks like an aperture of the camera due to the opening in the front of the card.
Aperture cards have different kind of difficulty, this one is easy an easy card, you just need at least two pieces of same dies but different size. The small size you need to create hole against the card base, the next size should be to create frame using either another piece of paper of your choice or create a frame by cutting two different size dies and make a frame out of it to add a little bit of character.
This card I didn't put any frame, I just cut the small dies on the card base and another piece of cardstock using the next size dies, I just make sure they will meet at the middle, that's the only crucial part to be honest, to make sure they will be aligned.
This card, I used a linen cardstock to add frame around the square, so I need to cut the dies three times. first the small against the card base, next the bigger size with the printed cardstocks, the last one I need to cut a frame, so I have to use both dies, taped it down and I don't have to measure anymore since it's a nesting same dies, gap is calculated.
These cards are easy to make, feeling nostalgic since I didn't see that much any aperture cards around. Hope you create yours as well!
